Title: Oscillator Modulation switch enables Filter Modulation as well
Post by: jeffbart on June 09, 2016, 03:32:43 am
I think the V3 Oscillator Modulation switch also turns on Filter Modulation, and it overrides the Filter Modulation switch i.e.  you cannot turn Filter Mod off if you have Osc Mod on.
Just tested only in stand-alone mode.

V2 works correctly.

Cheers Jeff

Hi everyone,

i'll try to reproduce this one. If you can share steps to follow, it would be great.

Best,

Hi Germain,

I attach a test preset called "Mod test" in User bank with this in the comment:

1. Hear it.
2. Switch on the OSC Mod. Hear it - No difference in the filter mod.
3. Switch off the Filter Mod. Hear it. Still no difference the filter is still being modulated - but it should'nt.
4. Switch off OSC Mod to hear with no Filter Mod.

Clearly the filter is being modulated in step 3 where only the OSC mod is on. That's wrong. Filter mod should only work when filter mod is "on"  when OSC mod is "on" - just like it work when OSC mod is "off".

Just in case: The default test preset is a modification of the template 1-osc saw. The cut off is set to Initial. MW is full on. And OSC 3 is set to work as old fasion LFO using triangle. The key tracks is both switch on. And the Filter Mod is on.

Best.
