Title: Entering notes with midi keyboard?
Post by: Man-Machine on April 13, 2016, 03:59:43 am
Trying to decide if this tool will work for me:

I'm not a pad player, but a keyboard player.  Can I enter notes on the step sequencer with a midi keyboard?

I know you can record in real-time like that, but I've not tried holding a step key then hitting a note on my controller keyboard (bit of stretching the way I have thing laid-out for that to happen).

You can do that (use a MIDI keyboard to set a note on a certain step, as opposed to real time recording)

How do you do that? I don't remember that from the manual.

Press record and play (or the other way around) and play the notes in.

Page 47. It's what megamarkd said in the first place- just hold down the step and play a note on a keyboard.
