Post by: turbo_kev on February 21, 2016, 08:18:01 pm
Hi

I would like to know Does the spark LE controller out put midi
when you hit the pads, when used as a vst

as I cant seem to record the midi, but I can hear the sounds when I hit a pad

Unfortunately I don't know BitWig, but yes... the SparkLE Controller should be sending MIDI information to your host.

Can you use plugins that generate MIDI in BitWig?  (You cannot without a virtual MIDI port in FL Studio).  You could check to see if the Spark2 preferences "Send MIDI from Sequencer" and "Send MIDI from Pads" are set to YES.  Those preferences generate the MIDI from the actual software.  You could also see if the controller works in MIDI mode by pressing Filter, Slicer, and Roller at the same time.  That's about all the troubleshooting advice I can give without knowing BitWig....

yes I have the send midi on pads selected

its strange because the beatstep pro pads send midi and I can record ok

its as if the spark le controller talks directly to the spark software
bypassing the inputs, because even if I set the track to no input
and hit the pads I can still hear drums

I don't know whats going on

cheers
