Title: Bought Spark Creative Drum Machine. Cant activate Spark 2

Hello. i bought Spark Creative Drum Machine and i cant seem to activate spark 2. Creative drum machine comes with spark 1 on a CD and card that has a serial number and unlock code. I i dont have a cd rom reader so i downloaded spark 2 from the arturia site and installed it. when i try to activate it tells me that my unlock code is wrong. is that because im using an unlock code from version 1 ?
do i have to buy version 2 to get my hardware to work ?

Sounds like you did everything correctly, did the previous owner deregister his spark license? This is probably the problem check with the seller ,or install spark 1 ,as spark 2 is a product that has to be paid for or free to owners of spark 1 as an upgrade
