Long story short, I have a Keylab 88, and when I have my DAW opened I would like the pads to control one VST and the keybed to simultaneously control a different VST.
Is there a way to do this?

Should work. The pads could be assigned to any different midi channel than the keys.
In cubase for example you can choose different midi channels for the instruments or midi tracks
(cubase 8 -> routing).
Select midi ch 1 for keys instead of all channels. As far I remember ch 11 is the default for the pads.
Use this for your 2nd instrument that you want to use with pads.

Shoot, sorry, I just saw this, thank you!

Thank u so much, I had the same question! Just one more thing.. Can these pads be separated from another vst, e.g: the first 8 pads plays a bell vst and the next 8 pads plays a cello vst . Hope it makes sense..

Yes! Each pad can be set to a different midi channel, so you could have half of them be on channel 10 (the default), and the other half on 11. You can set this up in both Midi Control Center (which I've found to be a bit buggy at times, and not always transfer over all information) or just do it on the board itself, which probably would be just as fast if not faster once you get used to it.
Otherwise, you could set them to the same channel and just do a midi region split, depending upon what DAW you're using (MainStage/Ableton yes, studio DAWs not as common).
