Title: Auditioning sounds

Hello. Thanks for the help in advance. I have my BSP set up as a master midi controller triggering drum pads from an MPC on channel 1. And a hardware synth on channel 9.  BSP is first in the chain with midi out going into the mpc. I was wondering why I can't audition drum sounds while the BSP is playing. When it is stopped, I can play drum sounds live.  Am I missing something?

Have MPC1000 connected by midi into MIDI2 directly from BSP. Everything working perfect. Hitting BSP pads triggering sounds on MPC in stopped and playing states. Tried different MIDI channels, still working.
