I can't see this happening guys as i think the firmware is sent in sysex . have you tried looking at the midi console to see the data in the mcc

does this apply to the BSP?

so far, im only able to see SySex data from STOP/PLAY/PAUSE on MIDI monitor..
would be extremely handy to be able to change more parameters likes pattern nbr, length etc.. via sysex..

could anyone confirm whether this is possible or not? please

PS: arturia, the number of views of this topic tells you how bad BSP users want this ;)

From my experience it will ... you WILL need to change one byte, the product id and sysex will most likely work. ...Assuming arturia is NOT changing the message identifier between beat step and beat step pro. If you have an iPad or iPhone you can try this using MIDI controller pro (I use it for JD-xi and it works very good) to generate sysex using sliders values to tweak the sysex you find the correct message (reverse engineering) pretty fast.

I wish I had more time I would try this...

...Because asking for open source will be too much probably.

HELLO Atruria! We need to send Sysex using Beatstep Pro. Please update MIDI Control Center to handle Sysex for controlers. AND for BSP to RECORD knob movements in the Sequence...
Thanks.

Anyone know if this would make it possible to write some scripts/an app that would allow extraction/uploading of MIDI data? I'm on Linux, and that's the thing that I'm missing most.
