Title: Using a beatstep in Logic Question

I've got my  Beatstep synced in Logic pro X and was wondering if anyone knew a clear tutorial on how to get all of my encoders set without them switching back or reverting back to default over time. Not sure whether the right way is to set everything in midi control center, but using the "Learn" button in Logic is so much more simpler and straightforward but never stays that way. It gets really frustrating after a while. :-\  Ideas or links?
