Title: Resetting all patterns and settings on the Beatstep
Post by: m.janowski on January 19, 2015, 11:17:36 pm
Hi guys,

I know - there was a topic about this, but with only with answers like "I know but i won't tell you" or "I figured it out myself"

Well I'd like to know the answer. I couldn't find it in the manual.

So:

I want to wipe out all of my patterns.
I want to go back to all default settings.

How do I do that?
The MidiControlCenter app is so confusing!!! Whats the difference between Store, Recall, Restore, Save, Delete, Import, Export???
This isn't intutive at all…

Thanks for help
Michal

You are 100% right. Without a display I would like to see more visual feedback what I do with the rotary encoders. On old analog gear you have absolut positioned potentiometers. That's a big difference. But with this encoders it's like poking around in the fog. We need more visual feedback on all actions. And btw. Arturia fix the confusing Transpose mess, please.

I use storage slot and pattern slot 16 for my initialization setup. I recall it and store it on after another to the other slots. Is there an easier way out there?

PLEASE somebody tell me how to factory reset this thing! Arturia says use the "Factory" template in the MCCU, trouble is there is no "Factory" template in the MCCU. I just want to start over! Can this really be this difficult?!

Hi jasonwann,

You will find the Default template for the BeatStep in attachment.
On the MAC version of the MidiControlCenter the default template is missing.
This bug will be fixed in next version.
Remember to load this default template on all memories.
