Title: No elicenser license found when importing presets
Post by: jgeers01 on January 18, 2015, 12:23:31 pm
I downloaded some presets from the Preset zone (like this one: http://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=82456.0). After import the plugin stated importing was succesful. But as soon as I select the imported preset it stated "No elicenser license found". I doesn't crash though, it just won't load the sound.

I use the latest version and tested on two machines (W7 32 and 64 bit). Does somebody know what is going wrong here?

This is because Jupiter presets were encrypted by old protection system elicenser.
If you have an old elicenser license of the Jupiter you can just run the Jupiter Preset Decoder.exe with you elicenser dongle connected witch is in :
C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Jupiter-8 V2

If you don't have any license elicenser of the Jupiter please download the attachment.

Thanks, that worked.

I don't have the preset encoder. How can I encode the other downloadable presets?

I did, the license looks fine. But I still don't have a preset decoder in any Arturia folder so the problem exists. Please understand I use a no-dongle license with V Collection.

You won't be able to decode those preset without an elicenser license.
Please give me the list of presets you wanna decode and i'll decode them and post them on the forum.

I downloaded all the presets from the preset zone (http://forum.arturia.com/index.php?board=46.0). Can you post them there as well?

I hope this license 'problem' will be fixed in a future release, also from the other synths.

Thanks for your support Ben!

I've decoded all presets check all attachment they should be named "decoded".
In fact this is not a bug.
Previous versions of the Jupiter use to protect presets with elicenser protection system.
Preset that had been  shared before this update are automatically encrypted by elicenser we can't change that. Latest version of the Jupiter is protected by our ArturiaSoftwareCenter and can't decode those presets.

It seems that only the "Save A Prayer With Sequence.decoded" preset works, the other decoded presets don't. Can you check this one more time?
