Title: DAW Connection questions
Post by: Mansion on January 04, 2015, 05:05:15 pm
Hey, new user here,

I recently got a microbrute and i'm a little confused as to how to get it to communicate with my pc. I can hook it up via jack cable through my interface (audiobox usb) and record as audio no problem and can also transmit MIDI notes into my software (presonus studio one) but i was wondering if it's possible to have the microbrute read MIDI notes from the software that i have created. Is this possible and do i need a MIDI cable or can you do it via the usb cable provided? I knew i'd have to change my approach to music making when i got this but at the moment i am a bit limited to what i can do with it.

Cheers!

I believe that you can paste the MIDI notes in to the MIDI track or segment that represents your synth in your DAW.

If your microbrute is connected to USB, it should show up as a MIDI output in your DAW. You may have to go to MIDI configuration in the DAW to find it.
