Title: Sample Loading
Post by: Ruiner on July 01, 2014, 08:47:49 am
I am a new SparkLE user and have upgraded to 2.0 and am having problems loading samples. If I open a kit and there is a sample on layer 1 and I add a sample to layer two, only layer two will play and I have no options to slice it or manipulate it any way. Most of my samples won't even load even though they are wav files. I am not sure if i am doing something wrong here. Does anyone have knowledge on how to load samples properly or maybe encountered the same problems I am having? I want to be able to make some of my own kits and manipulate some of my samples but this is proving to be difficult since the samples will not load, will not play or will load but only one at a time with no ability to edit them.

Hi Ruiner,
Welcome !
Please try to use 2.0.1 version :
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/spark/resources.html
In the manual you'll have a lot of answers :
ftp://downloads.arturia.com/downloads/Spark2/manuals/EN_SPARK_Manual_2.0.pdf

Cheers !

Thank you for the reply, the update seems to have fixed this issue. I thought I could slice samples in Spark 2.0 but that is not an option for me. Do I have to do this before the sample is loaded?

Nice  ;)
If you want to use slices you'd better use some REX files.
Here is a tutorial to help create your own REX from samples :
