Title: YAMAHA FC-7 Expression Pedal works badly
Post by: eclipse0119 on June 10, 2014, 04:02:00 am
Hi there.
Anyone using Expression Pedal on KEYLAB 61 with problems?
I'm using YAMAHA FC-7, it works fine on my MOTIF, however some problems happened when connect to my KEYLAB 61.
Briefly, the value starts from 45, and respond too fast to reach 127.
I've tried to adjust the range from 0 to 127 using the solution in this topic
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=128

Now the value starts from 0, however, it still reach to 127 too fast and very hard to control...

I've already read some post about this issue, and it seems some has the same problem.

Any solution to this?

I can confirm that you can't use a Yamaha FC7 expression pedal out of the box with a KeyLab [49], even after calibrating. Note that it does correctly go from 0..127, but the curve is still wrong, i.e. it goes to 127 way too fast. To correct the curve I have bought a FC7 Foot Pedal Adapter from Ashby Solutions:

Works like a charm.
