Title: Can you play from external keyboard (in tune mode)?
Post by: punkdSICO on May 22, 2014, 09:38:12 pm
Playing with the modular synth tonight and it is fantastic!!  Really fantastic!

So good in fact, I wanted to play a bass track from a midi keyboard but could not work it out.  Sure, I can trigger the sounds but not play a single sound over the entire keyboard.

I suspect this is not implemented but boy would it give Spark some serious power..!!

So, if not implemented, is it something that can be considered?

Fingers crossed..

Paul

This is currently not possible but we are considering it.

..those modular synth patches are monstrous!!  You will be opening up this engine to a whole new level and user base (Origin for a fraction of the cost!)

But Im sure you realise this 

Have fab weekends, everyone..

If you have a DAW like Ableton LIVE or MASCHINE you can take one INSTANCE of SPARKle and use it to construct your "synth instrument." Now, you can add the same synth to each of the 16 pads and retune each pad chromatically or use a scale. So you will have 16 notes to play with.  Keep in mind that you may or may not want to "choke" groups? Then you could construct another instance of drums on another channel (LIVE) or group (machine).  hope this helps.
