Title: Fabfilter Pro-Q vs. others
Post by: baxterdavid on April 16, 2014, 05:01:38 am
Hey!
It's time to get me a nice, useful, easy to use EQ plugin.
I am not really advanced in mixing, I just know the basics, but EQ and compression are still difficult topics for me.
I was demoing the Pro-Q and it kind of opened up this world for me a bit, at least I think so. I love the solo function, for instance. It all feels really smooth and looks good on screen as well.

Can I go wrong?

I mean, there are most likely gazillion threads about this, but I am busy reading the NAMM news

Is there a VERY good reason to pick Equilibrium over Pro-Q?
Or Equick, or Equality? I was demoing them but still feel like Pro-Q is the one I look for, but I'm curious about what you would say.

I want to buy within the next 24 hours.

You really cant go wrong with the Pro-Q its a great eq very musical great GUI and doesn't eat up any cpu really so you can have multiple instances of it running no problem and the solo's are really handy. :)
