Title: Any clues to what I'm doing wrong?

So Iv'e set up MMV2 as an EFX (in cubase SX2) and I've got a dry signal (vocal) going through it, but I get bugger all Mg. What am I missing?
And what exactly is this external in used for other than the internal modules? I don't think I'm thick but this has me stumped. Any suggestions greatfully recieved.
