Title: 14 keys defective
Post by: Höllge on April 04, 2012, 07:06:57 pm
Hey,

I've just received my Laboratory 61.

It has these small issues:

F1 - doesn't send Note on/off
F#1 - doesn't send Note on/off
C#2 - sends Note C#2 and D2 simultaneously
D2 - sends C#2 and D2 simultaneously
A2 - sends A2 and A#2 simultaneously
A#2 - sends A2 and A#2 simultaneously
F3 - sends F3 and F#3 simultaneously
F#3 - sends F3 and F#3 simultaneously
C#4 - sends Note C#4 and D4 simultaneously
D4 - sends C#4 and D4 simultaneously
A4 - sends A4 and A#4 simultaneously
A#4 - sends A4 and A#4 simultaneously
F5 - sends F5 and F#5 simultaneously
F#5 - sends F5 and F#5 simultaneously

I verified that using "MIDI monitor" (a OSX utility to see what comes in on a MIDI port).

I suppose that this is not a misconfiguration, but an actual hardware defect, right? So I'll send the board right back. Right?

Cheers,
Helge

Possibly try restoing to factory defaults using the latest AL MIDI Control Center (http://www.arturia.com/downloads/analoglaboratory/mcc/release/latest/LaboratoryMIDIControlCenterMac.zip).
If still no luck, I presume it's an hardware issue so get back to your reseller and claim for a warranty exchange.

Thanks, Antoine!

I tried that, but no changes. I'll have the keyboard replaced by the reseller. I hope that it doesn't take so long :-)

Happy easter from Germany,
