I have an Origin with OS 1.2.5 and one of the most annoying bugs is the sound cutting out and the only way to get it back is switch it off and on again.
Normally this happens when you have it playing from a midi source such as looping a short phrase from the sequencer and then auditioning patches and some times when tweeking the controls. Evething else is working, it doesn't lock up, you can save what you are working on, it just goes silient.
This and the data entry knob which is so erratic as to be unusable sometimes are the most pressing bugs that need fixing.

The "sound cutting out when switching patches while receiving MIDI" bug has been fixed and this fix will be included in the next update.

How about the erratic encoder behaviour bug? is that fixed in the next release? it really is becoming a major usability problem.

... any clue about the release date of the coming update? I remember 1.3. was announced.
1.5. was moved 1 quarter in this year...

If you look at the Milestones page here:

you will see that:
1.3 is now scheduled for Q4/2010 (most likely October/November)
and
1.5 for Q1/2011 (we should at least be able to preview it in January at the NAMM show)
We are checking if we could release an internediate version (say, 1.2.6) with only this bug fix before 1.3, without affecting the entire schedule.

4 cutting outs in 4 hours with my new Origin. Will be the 1.3 Version released in October? I think this is important and immediate bug to resolve, customers paid a lot for this machine.

Could you tell us more about the conditions when these audio cutoffs occur?

I get a cuting out if i set to 0% Depth of the Ring Mod Module while i'm plaing some notes.

I couldn't reproduce this bug on my dev machine. Could you send me the preset which yields to this audio freeze? Also try to be as much specific as you can when you describe a problem such as this one. Without precise details we cannot investigate.

To attach a file you should open the "Additionasl Options..." arrow which is located at the left bottom corner of the reply box (the box where you type your text for this forum). There you have the possibility to attach a file.

Hmmmm.... It looks like these additional options are not available on every boards. Well, then the best thing to do then is to open a case with the support. Don't forget to mention in the case that you already started a discussion with me on the forum so that the guy in charge of the support can quickly redirect the case to me.

Hmm, I just had my first sound cutting out experience... :(
I was editing a patch in the edit window, adjusting envelope destinations.
I had to re-start the Origin. (I have a Novation SL mk II attached to the Origin.)
Let's hope for a speedy OS 1.3 arrival!

And now it happened again...
I have assigned various CC:s to the pots and faders on my Novation, and while I was moving some of the faders (controlling FX sends) on the program "0038 Jupiter Brass", it suddenly went silent...
So, is it confirmed that this bug is killed in the next OS update?..
