Title: Using V1.1 with V2.0 licence
Post by: John_Greythorne on March 23, 2010, 02:44:32 pm
I've just bought V2.0 of the Jupiter-8V.  Is it possible to get a licence that will allow us to use V1.1 too?

We have to work on some songs that have used V1 of the Jupiter and have the exported patches.  The patches do not sound the same when imported into 2.0.

The license stored on your USB-eLicenser is downwards compatible with newer versions of the synthesizer, so no need for any activation code.
Simply install the latest version (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/updates.html) to upgrade your favorite synthesizer.

Hi Antoine,

Many thanks for your reply.

I already have V2 of Jupiter-8V which works with my existing licence.  The licence is stored on my USB dongle and appears as "Jupiter8V2".

I cannot, however, use V 1.1.1 of Jupiter-8V because it does not recognise the licence and displays "Application 'Jupiter-8V 1.0' has caused the following error: eLicenser(s) contain(s) no valid license for this application."

The V2 licence is not compatible with V1.
