Title: stuck on 'Running Package Scripts' and does not finish installation
Post by: JMeister7 on February 28, 2010, 02:58:13 am
10 Year Suite:
Part 4. Install process
All went well with the installation of Brass, Prophet-V & Jupiter-8V, but when it came to Analog Factory --- it says about 1 minute remaing and it stays on 'Running Package Scripts' and does not finish installing.  What can be done to fix this problem?  Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem. I first installed analogue factory from the original CD, and then tried to install the update, and the install hangs on running package scripts. I am using a macbook:
  Model Name:   MacBook
  Model Identifier:   MacBook5,1
Processor Name:   Intel Core 2 Duo
  Processor Speed:   2 GHz
  Number Of Processors:   1
  Total Number Of Cores:   2
  L2 Cache:   3 MB
  Memory:   2 GB
  Bus Speed:   1.07 GHz
  Boot ROM Version:   MB51.007D.B03
  SMC Version (system):   1.40f2
  Serial Number (system):   W8913WWV8QR
  Hardware UUID:   93762EB7-C320-5D08-94E4-48F3CF38FEBA
I have tried uninstalling the original, and then installing the update, and the same thing happens. Now if a try to install the old version from the CD, the install hangs on 'running package scripts. Please help me!

I presume we shall push the Knowledge Base a bit more forward.
Does this article (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=112) solve the problem?
