Yes, I presume you talk about this article (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=103).
License transfer method is different on 5.x and 6.x versions of the (e)License(r) Control Center.
Unless major trouble, please always consider the latest version of the eLC. Also please consider watching this instructive video (http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html) about the eLC, and notably the transfer method which is described starting at 2:44.
