Title: New Atp2600v 2.0 Slow move of the GUI Controllers
Post by: snagi on November 30, 2009, 02:51:23 pm
Hello

Any one notice that the Controllers in the interface moves "Slow" in the new 2.0 update?  :-\

That will be Mac OSX 10.6.2 (snow) and Logic 8 in my case

Same here with Windows XP and Cubase 5.1, but also in the standalone version.

Yeah, I'm finding the same slow response. The audio seems not to be stuttering though, which is a good thing. I thought there may be a beta test version we could comment on when this was going to V2. It still sounds the same, more Mg than Arp.
Also can anybody confirm the response of the exponential attenuator input to the VCA, it does nothing until the top tenth of it travel. I do not have access to the real thing so I can not check this, but my understanding of a linear or exp. function has to do with varying voltages and the slope as they change, a constant voltage should be the same in either function. The Timewarp does not have this same response - the atten. produces a response accross it's entire range, and yes I am buying Timewarp over MMV. I want that ARP sound. I was waiting to see what the V2 rev. would be like. I already own 2600V & the CS80V, so time for something different I guess.

Happening with me here, too - Cubase 5.1 32-Bit on Windows 7. Both VST and standalone are affected.

Oops, problem identified on several platform configurations, happily graphical issue only.  :-[
A quick fix is currently being done and will be released next week after a short but necessary testing period (we don't want to introduce new bugs while correcting a little one).
Hopefully, this should not prevent you from terrorizing your neighborhood though.

I suspect that we may also have a problem with the extra connections that have shown it face in the MMV 2.5 i.e. Mod wheel to Vibrato is the one I have seen.

Yes,
I'm seeing the same cable issue. So, is this an automatic assignation as Antoine refered to with the MMV 2.5? I'd prefer to be able to switch this off. Also, does everyone think that the exponentail atten. in the VCA has the correct response? If this is so I'd appreciate a nod to this fact or a confirmation of a bug.
  Thanks

Hey Antoine,
Is the GUI fix still on track? It is difficult to set a parameter to a specific value. Also as I noted in a previous message, multiple instances are not possible for me with V2 in Cubase Studio 4. I've gone back to V1.2 for now.
   Thanks

Is there any news on this problem? It's been a while since it has been reported, and still there is no update for the ARP2600V...

Stephan

This is by far not the worst trouble. The GUI-Bug in ARP2600 V and Prophet V is also still not fixed, wich lets the entire VST-Host get crazy and crash after unloading them!

It's just not possible to work with ARP2600 V and Prophet V without having big trouble and this problem exists since many years now!

Title: Re: New Arp2600v 2.0 Slow move of the GUI Controllers => THE FIX
Post by: Antoine on October 04, 2010, 10:48:29 am
Hi dear ARP2600V enthusiast!

The whole Dev Team is currently working on heavy parallel projects, pretty much exciting but unfortunately lowering the priority on "less critical" things.

During the summer I could send users a bug fix version 2.0.1 for the ARP2600V, through private correspondence at the Technical Support only.
This version still has not been submitted to our grid of tests, but all I received was only positive feedback from the voluntary testers.
I presume it is now time to reveal where the version 2.0.1 is hidden, and let you get rid of the "sluggish GUI" symptom, avoiding unnecessary bad moods towards this holy synth which does not deserve them:
==> http://www.arturia.net/downloads/arp2600v/testing/ (http://www.arturia.net/downloads/arp2600v/testing/) (Mac & Windows)

Hope this gives a new positive start to the ARP2600V 2.x series!

Keep up the good vibrations,

Antoine.
