Title: CS-80V crashes
Post by: soniq-man on August 07, 2008, 11:46:36 am
Hi everyone,

I purchased the CS-80V yesterday but still had memories of a friend of mine, who claimed that under OS9 back then, his CS-80V kept crashing randomly and closing Cubase. I almost forgot. Until yesterday that is.

My set up is a Mac Pro 8-Core 2,8 GHz with MOTU MKII and 2 GB of RAM and OS 10.5.

When I opened Cubase 4 and started a new project, I created a few tracks with plug-ins and then another with the Arturia plug in. I messed around with the CS-80V a bit, then it suddenly froze and quit Cubase for me. I imagined I had a real project going on...

What's the deal? Anyone else have random crashes of the thing? I read in other forums that it *does* crash randomly, making it almost useless in projects. I hope not. Is it a RAM issue? Does it collide with other plug-ins? My project was nothing special, only 2 other plug ins (one in fact, opened twice).

Any ideas?
