Hi dear AF2/AFE users,
The so long awaited version of Syncrosoft's Licence Control Center allowing transfer of your license from software dongle ("Soft-eLicenser") to hardware dongle ("USB-eLicenser") is now available though the testing version, available for Mac and Windows operating systems: http://download.syncrosoft.com/syncrosoft/5.3.9.5/ (http://download.syncrosoft.com/syncrosoft/5.3.9.5/)
This is a pre-release before the final 5.4.0.0 stable version, but:
> we've tested it in several ways, and it works nicely;
> our Support Department nearly collapses under hundreds of legitimate claims;
> like all of you here and there, we're simply tired of waiting
So we decided to semi-publicly reveal this version; we're also preparing a massive mailing for the hundreds of AF2/AFE support cases.
Here are a few changes for this major upgrade:
* Licenses for Soft-eLicenser protected products are now downloadable and transferable to USB-eLicenser;
* the Windows version received a new driver USB-eLicenser that brings a vast improvement in reliability and stability of the USB-eLicenser.
Also, be advised that for any license transfer, your computer needs to be connected to the Internet; for the very majority of our beloved users, that's not a problem as they already downloaded their license from a connected computer. For the reciprocal transfer (USB->Soft) you'll need at least temporarily to connect your DAW.
I personally hope this marks the end of a trouble era, and that the necessary protection mechanism will never more prevent you from having great pleasure, effective audio works, or simply insane oscillations, with the holy Analog Factory.
We'll only drop an official announce on our website when 5.4.0.0 is released, as this will be the "stable"-declared version.

I cannot find any way to purchase a USB dongle from Syncrosoft. What's the matter with that company?

Not sure they sell directly to final users, rather ask your local dealer, or drop an eye to our online store (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/buy/online-shop.html)
