Title: Minifreak VSTi not working for me in Ableton Live with Minifreak hardware

I cant get the Minifreak VSTi to work properly in Ableton Live.
When I connect the Minifreak to usb, Live recognizes the midi ports.
The VST3 version of the plugin is recognized by Live. Are there also other versions available?
When I open the plugin with no hardware connected, everything works.
If I then connect the hardware, Live locks up.
The Live process stays active and I cannot seem to kill it, and a reboot seems the only solution.
I tried different order of connecting usb and starting Live, but it seems to lock up every time.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled all Arturia products without result. Reinstalling Live is not an option.

The standalone software does work.
