Title: Fresh out of the box?
Post by: Newcleus on December 03, 2022, 11:19:10 pm
When I go into an instrument, how do I disable the presets?  I've tried not selecting any presets before editing an instrument but it then always seems to pick up the first preset in the list.

How do I get each instrument in their default, fresh out of the box state?

I'm told that there should be a dropdown, top-left for each instrument saying "New Preset" but there is no such option in any of mine.

Another support ticket I guess...  >:(

You show an image of Analog Lab. Please show the menu from a individual application. Perhaps the "New Preset" are in them afterall?

Analog Lab is the only application in V-Collection that does'nt have a "New Preset" ("New Preset" is the "Default" preset in the browsers).
When you open all other applications outside Analog Lab, then you have the "New Preset" option in the applications main menu.
A "New Preset" in Analog Lab would be a totally empty preset. From there it would be the same as now. I don't mind the option, but it's just an extra step, in a workflow like Analog Labs.
Each applications default preset is also available in ALVs preset browser.

I hadn't realised you could open each application as standalone! Mkaes sense but good to know you can open 'default'; in Analog V.

Hello Newcleus
What you are looking for is "Custom" Type.
Explore, click on Types, go down to Template.
You should have a list of all the default for all the instruments.
Hope that helps.
