Title: beatstep not sending pitch cv to oscillator

My brand new Beatstep doesn't act like the unit in the Arturia video tutorial. i have cv patched to the 1v/oct input of a Dixie. When I run a sequence and turn the encoders there's no pitch change. What do I need to do in the Midi Control Center to get this working?
