Title: Set an Osc to single note/drone across keyboard
Post by: AminalKingdom on August 03, 2022, 09:09:34 pm
New Polybrute owner (this thing is amazing!) and forum member here. I'm trying to create a bagpipe-type patch and I'm wondering if there is a way to set one of the oscillators to play the same note across the entire keyboard to get that persistent drone sound? I don't see it in the tuning settings menu. Perhaps that's not the typical way to set something like this up and I should split the keyboard and hold the one-note osc drone on one side and play the individual notes on the other? Just curious if anyone has any tips here. Thanks!

Congrats on the PolyBrute and welcome to the forum! :)

This is indeed possible - it's something I like to dabble in myself.

There's isn't a specific function for this, but by leveraging some of the general functionality of the PolyBrute, you can do it. Check out this article over at GS:

There's also some discussion and some tips right here, in Duophonic mode (https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=107413.msg183755#msg183755).
