Title: Intro means more to come
Post by: francoise on April 14, 2022, 02:50:49 pm

So it's likely a glimpse into a future full Augmented Strings.

The preset Deepening by Richard Veenstra makes a good doublebass preset with parameter closed except color (3/4) and a bit of motion. It's not like Amplesound Upright Bass but very much more affordable.

Hi francoise,

Yes it can look like a full blown application is comming up. Perhaps the first in a serie of new instruments.

Hi LBH,

it's unescapable. Pigments ushered a new direction.
Augmented Strings seems to be more sample based as far as I can tell (2 g. of samples).
It could explain why some found the download time relatively slow.

Well maybe I'm wrong. Someone called Ave Mcree says it's physical modeling with sample interaction (augmentation), like in Pigments.

As a user of Moddart's Pianoteq Pro, I think physical modeling is the future.

Thank you LBH,

I had no knowledge of this page.
It will be valuable to those who want to know what's coming.
