Despite some people endlessly complaining, MusicTech has chosen the KeyStep Pro as best controller of 2020

I mean... how? It's fine, but it seems like it's missed some huge opportunities to stand out and it was truly awful at launch.
-
How you say? Because Music Tech makes their money off of advertising and as well, there weren't a lot of sequencers released in 2020.

I wonder....

It is, absolutely, the best controller I bought in 2020.
IDK, I love it, I'm glad i didn't give up on it. I'm looking forward to 2.0 firmware like the rest of us, but in the meantime I've had a great time with it.
-
I too am very much loving it. And, as everyone, looking forward to 2.0.
I'm hoping they've extended the pattern length by 4 bars. :)

I'm loving it a whole lot more after the last update - now that the USB midi is usable!
Before it was a source of much frustration :P
it would swap my midi "note on" and "note off" commands around (only on the USB connection) and delay them by random amounts
and boy, was that a head f^^k!
So glad that was fixed

What a joke.
