It really upsets me that KeyStep Pro has less functionality than Keystep 37, even when KeyStep Pro is twice the price as Keystep 37. Why can't Strum Mode and the Chord Mode features found on KeyStep 37 be ported over to KeyStep Pro??

I am feeling exactly the same way. I have already mentioned this to support and put a request in. I was told it would definitely be a nice feature to port over, but both machines are developed from separate teams and there is no guarantee this will happen. None the less it is logged and hopefully in the future, we will see such implementation.
I would put a request into support yourself, on the same topic. The more noise is made about this, the better the chances of it happening.

Can you provide a link or details for exactly where I should contact support?

Just contact technical support via their webpage.

Best of luck and thanks for doing this.

Hopefully one team will explain functions to the other team soon.Keyword globald transpose or transpose without by pressing a button.
To smile about such attempts at explanation ! ;D

I hear ya. I would love to be able to transpose sequences and arps externally, from a DAW for instance, instead of always having to do it manually, by pressing and holding the transpose button with each change, as you mentioned.

That killer 37 Chord mode is a must upgrade for Pro. Code base could be merged I believe

Registered only to bump up this requset. Been holding off on the Keystep Pro for some months now waiting to see if this will be added.
This is the deal breaker for me.
-
Keep holding. I’m starting to doubt even a reliable firmware will ever get finished!
Buy the 37 if you like the features, I’ve bought the pro and regret it.
-
From what I can see, this feature fell a bit short. Not too much out yet, dont own it. Any one can confirm strum and chord mode as in Keystep 37 is way superior!?
From the look right now, this is disapointing.

I think it looks and acts incredibly. Certainly better than nothing, which is what the Pro is doing, in this regard. I really wish the Pro had this.

I bought the Keystep 37 a couple of months ago after watching LoopOp's YT review. The KS37 features, absent on the KSP, have been invaluable in achieving my goals. The "Chord", "Strum"and "Pattern" arpegiator (no small thing) features, are some of the things that sold me on the KS37 due to the experimental possibilities(see this part of the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3iaHNIJFsg&t=1241s).
It never occurred to me that the Keystep Pro wouldn't be an expansion of the Keystep 37 feature set; not in my wildest fevered dreams would I have thought otherwise. I'm glad I found this in time to cancel my Keystep Pro order. I certainly won't be buying two more KS37s; the one will have to suffice. Hopefully Arturia will realize their blunder and release a Keystep Pro that's actually an upgrade to the 37.
-
I have already requested this, officially. No word yet though, however. I would seriously write to Arturia and let them know your desire for such features. The more noise there is about their absence, the better the chances of them being implemented.
-
Bumping this also. I have two key step PROS, sucks to have envy of the 37.
-
I dont think they'd implement anything that doesn't fit what's already inscribed on the keyboard. I could be wrong but has anyone ever seen a function be implemented via firmware that would be totally hidden from the user? All the arp modes are listed right above the keys in blue so I'd be curious how they would implement this? Something like tap shift and twice and hold and hit Up are to strum up?
-
Unfortunately there's numerous weird inconsistencies in their product ranges which don't make sense to me yet must have done to the design engineers. For example the KeyStep has aftertouch, which is great, but the MiniLab, which comes equipped with a whole bunch of presets in Analog Lab which need aftertouch, does not. Unfortunately that can't ever be patched by a firmware update.
-
So sad this never happend. Should have been implemented as in the Keystep 37.
I check in here once in awhile to see if there is any chance for this to be a part of a firmware update. Have other keys now, but would get the Keystep Pro for this features, it would make it such a good instrument for such a variety of scenarios.

I came here to ask Arturia to please implement the strum and chord modes from keystep 37 into the keystep pro. I returned my keystep 37 to get the keystep pro thinking it would be an upgrade, but it's missing the best feature from it.
