Title: Sequencer start when receiving midi clock
Post by: mikeinashed on July 05, 2020, 04:36:31 pm
Hi everyone

Had the MB2 about a couple of hours, and very happy with it so far. There's one thing that's annoying me a touch - I can't stop the sequencer from starting when hitting play in Cubase if it's synced to the Cubase midi clock.

I can turn off the sync for now, but I'd like to be able to sync the LFOs.

Any idea how I can do this? Can't see anything in the manual. There are settings to do this on my other synths, but there doesn't appear to be anything obvious on the MB2.

Apologies if it's really simple and I'm being stupid!

Cheers

Mike

As far as I can tell, this is how it is supposed to work when using MIDI sync. The sequencer will advance when there is a play command and clock signal.

In your case I would just load up an empty sequence if you just want to use it for LFO duty.

Most of the time when I am working with the DAW I will first make a sequence on the MB2 and then record it into the DAW so that I can free up the sequencer for other duties but still play the sequence I made through the DAW.

Yeah, I had been doing that thanks. Was hoping there was a tidier solution, but it's hardly the end of the world.

Thanks for the info!
