Title: BSP and Logic...the nightmare continues.
Post by: edmac on February 01, 2019, 11:35:43 pm
Hey there,

I seem to be failing at doing the most basic recording functions with the BSP and Logic Pro X. (Ive got a MacBook Pro 2018 Mojave)
I have read all the other forum questions on this and scoured the Internet but still haven't solved this problem.

I simply want to record three separate midi "Instrument" tracks in Logic with midi parts recorded in each channel.
Track 1. Drum (Spark) > Midi channel 10
Track 2. Sequence 1 (any logic vst) > Midi Channel 2
Track 3. Sequence 2 (any logic vst) > Midi Channel 3

All midi channels correspond in Midi Control Center and are correctly labeled in Logic in the channel strip settings.

I HAVE switched on "Auto Demix by channel" in Midi recording settings.

I HAVE followed all the instructions demonstrated in this video in the MIDI Environment....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I12WB1jWB6c&t=1s
INCLUDING the mistake he made by not adding the Sequencer Input and connecting the three channels.

After all this, It STILL doesn't separate the midi correctly. It just separates Sequencer 1 and pushes that track of midi down but Sequencer 2 is still recorded in the Drum (spark) channel.

Can anyone out there please help? Any suggestions or ideas?......finally ditch Logic and move to Ableton?
Many thanks,
Ed
