Title: Wrong Midi Signals
Post by: k3m4 on January 12, 2019, 06:03:51 pm
Hey folks,
I have an Issue with my Beatstep Pro: Whenever I turn the knobs on top while they're in CC mode, their value jumps between 1 and 127, skipping everything in between. Like this i can only access 2 values of the mapped Parameter in Ableton instead of 128. A couple of hours ago, it worked though, for a while...
Also whenever I use the Drum sequencer to control a Drum Rack in Ableton it receives a C3 signal (which I didn't send) once in every 16 steps.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Cheers,
k3m4

Only thing I can think of are the range set in the MIDI Control Center.

If my memory serves me C3 are the default value used by BSP on many 'emty' slots.

I would try to load an empty Project and test of problem resist. If so save content from BSP to MIDI Control Center, — then factory reset the BSP.

Had the same problem, I realised that in MIDI control center the knobs that have this faulty behaviour are set as "Relative" in the option under the ControllerMap tab, after selecting the knob. Setting this option to "Absolute" recovers the normal behaviour.
