Title: BSP not powering via USB

Hi,

I just bought a used BSP, and it does not power with the usb cable. I have to plug the AC power chord in order to power it. Although the usb cable seems to work, as as soon as i plug the power chord, the device is recognized by windows.

Is this a known problem ? ( I have been searching a bit on the forum but didn't find a similar subject)

Do you think replacing the cable with a new one could solve the problem ? https://www.arturia.com/store/accessories/beatstepproreplacementcablekit

Or does the problem come from the beatstep ?

Have you tried any other cable other than the one given to you with the BSP?

It might also be worthwhile checking the USB specification of your computer.
Check to see if the drivers are working properly, and check to see if your USB spec is 2.0 and above.

If both are OK then the problem is probably the cable, as mentioned in the reply by megamarkd.

No it's not a driver problem as a friend of mine came with his own BSP a few weeks back. We plugged it via USB only and it worked perfectly. So I guess it's a cable problem.
