Title: Device won't connect
Post by: hmoslo on July 01, 2018, 09:26:31 pm
I've made a handful attempts upgrading my Beatstep Pro firmware from 1.4.* to 2.0.1.6. On first attempt it failed as described here: https://www.arturia.com/faq/utilization/midi-control-center-fail-to-open-the-device-on-mac-osx. I've then made several attempts to follow the prescribed recipe, but without any success. Now the Beatstep Pro wont connect at all, claiming it's in bootstrap mode. Can anyone please help?

I'm running Midi Control Center 1.7.3.628 on a Max with macOS Sierra 10.12.6.

Kind regards,
Hallvard

Hi !

Sorry to read that. Let's try to resolve this:

First, unplug your BeatStep Pro from your computer.

1. Please remove any HUB from your setup.

2. Delete the BeatStep Pro + BeatStep Pro Updater from the Audio MIDI Setup.
(Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup > Window > Show Audio Devices)

3. Plug your BeatStep Pro and try to proceed the firmware update.
/!\ During the firmware update, instead of turning the BeatStep Pro OFF / ON, please unplug and replug the BeatStep Pro USB instead /!\

Keep me informed if it fixes your issue.

If the issue persists, the best would be to contact our support team: https://www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp/issues (https://www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp/issues)

Best Regards.
