Hello!
I want to build my recent live set around Beatstep Pro so I came to this idea:
is it possible to assign a change of a Scene in Ableton ( with a different set of sounds on each scene on the same tracks ) to a change of a Project on BSP? This would be killer and every "song" could be played from BSP "in sync" and even without a need to look at the laptop screen during the live set.
I guess if a kind of midi message is sending at the moment of Project change, it is possible to route and assign it to a Scene change in Ableton, maybe with a help of some M4L devices.
If anyone knows something about this, please let me know!

Hi tajnost,
Maybe you should ask your question on an Ableton forum.
For your information:
- Pattern change on BSP: You need to send a Program Change (0 to 15) on the right channel corresponding to the sequencer you want to change.
- Project change on BSP: You need to send a Control Change (Bank Change) (0 to 15) on the right channel corresponding to the sequencer you want to change.
- Scene change on BSP: You need to send Song Select message (0 to 15).

Y.

Thank you, nice to know!
But does BSP send Control Change (Bank Change ) when you manually change a project on the controller? If so, it should be easy to "map" it, but I still can't see it sends anything at my MIDI monitor...

Unfortunately, it does not.

Yes, unfortunately... Would be a nice feature, so dear Arturia, please add it to your feature request list.

this is the final key that would make the BSP 100% for me. i have to trigger the clip mode changes and the pattern chains at the same time when it would be great to just have the patterns on the BSP also change the clips being looped within ableton. kind of seems like an absolute must to be able to do.
