Title: SOLVED] Can't save scenes!
Post by: ccristoo on February 24, 2018, 12:26:45 pm
Hi, I swear I have followed the instructions.

After chaining some patterns together, I go to Control Mode to save them, hold save and press a step, but the red step never flashes to indicate a save.

I have tried it twenty times. Or more.

When I reboot the beatstep, no chained patterns are saved.

Don't know why. Wish I could make it work. Any help would great. I have checked for firmware updates.

hold [SHIFT] plus one of the three sequencer buttons [SEQUENCER 1], [SEQUENCER 2] or [DRUM]
push any of the step buttons in the order of your choice to chain the related patterns.
You can repeat this operation for the other sequencers to stack several pattern chains. This represent a “scene”.
To save a scene:
select the [CONTROL MODE], hold the [SAVE] button
push one of the 16 step buttons to select a slot.

Hi ccristoo,
I guess you just need to activate Scene Mode in the MCC.

Regards,

Thanks for your response. I believe I did activate Scene mode. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. If you could please look at my footage of my process, I'd really appreciate it.

On the video, it acts like you are have Scene Mode Off. Are you sure the MIDI Control Center is well connected to BeatStep Pro? Can you see the firmware version displayed on the MCC?

Y.

Thanks for all your help. It's working now. Seems I had to upgrade the firmware. Well, I have a lot to learn, but have to learn it some time. Thanks!
