Is anyone using the MB with ProTools? I'm having difficulty using the midi thru PT's. The notes just or eventually the whole keyboard. It's like it constantly locks on a midi loop. I'm curious if anyone if using it with success and how they've got it arrange.
Thanks
Nick

Hello, ended up with the MB and so far it is a lot of fun. Cant wait to sync the midi clock from another source and then output the notes midi into a daw, particularly Pro Tools (latest version). Being the first time I tried anything with this keyboard. Can anyone help? So far I have midi clock out and basically I just want to sync the MB sequencer with the Midi Sync button so I can start dreaming maaannn....

Once you have your DAW sending MIDI clock, you simply press the MIDI Sync button, and Bob's you uncle.
Just make sure that "MIDI clock source" in the MIDI Control Center is set to "All" (or you can specify "MIDI" or "USB" depending on which connection you're using).

I received some feedback from Arturia and this appears to be a known issue with ProTools. I've been given the following work-around which works fine:
This should normally work fine as long as you adjust a small setting in the Pro Tools preferences :
- Pro Tools -> Preferences -> Midi : Make sure to select "None" in the "Default Thru instrument" section.
- Once done, make sure to create two tracks :
Track 1:
- Put the MIDI In on your audio interface as you cannot select "None".
- Then the MIDI Out on the MatrixBrute
=> This track sends MIDI to the Matrix but does not receive it.
Track 2:
- Put the MIDI In on the MatrixBrute.
- Then the MIDI Out on the audio interface also, but you can certainly put "None" instead.
=> This track therefore receives MIDI from the Matrix but does not send it.
=> That way you'll be sure there's no MIDI loop <=
- Finally, make sure to define two distinct Midi channels for the Input and Output Channels through the Midi Control Center : See attachment
