Title: Keylab 88 problem in Logic Pro 10.12.6

I just got this KL88.  I figured out how to reverse the sustain pedal thanks to the folks here in the forum.  But when I go into Logic, choose a soft synth--in this case Ample Guitar--and try to play a note on the keyboard, my windows in Logic and Ample guitar begin flashing back and forth!!  I have no recourse but to force a quit on Logic to end the madness.  What is that all about?  When I bought this keyboard I was confident that it would work with Logic Pro.  Anyone have any ideas about this strange behavior?
