I created a sequence number #4 for channel 1 and a sequence number #4 for channel 2, and I want to save the project under number #4. The project is saved as #4 but when I call the project, the sequences are all sequence number #1, and not number #4.
Why does "save project" not save the related sequences numbers that were created under that project?

Hi iqnyte,
Why does "save project" not save the related sequences numbers that were created under that project?
Scenes are intended to do that...

Thanks for replying.
I could, however, not find any "scene" button on the BSP unit.

Hi iqnyte,
I suggest you to follow those steps:
- Activate scene mode in the Midi Control Center software ("DEVICE SETTINGS" tab)
On the BeatStep Pro:
- Select your project number 4
- Select pattern number 4 for SEQUENCER 1
- Select pattern number 4 for SEQUENCER 2
- Go to CONTROL MODE
- Press SAVE + STEP1
That's all.
When you load your project 4, the first scene will be automatically loaded. You have to be in Scene Mode for this to work.
In Scene Mode, the steps buttons are used to load and save scenes when you are in CONTROL MODE.
You can also save chains inside a scene. An empty scene will load patterns with the same number as the scene. E.g: Scene 4 will load Pattern 4 for each sequencer if the scene is empty.
If something is not clear, feel free to ask for more explanations. Do not hesitate to check the new BeatStep Pro manual. It is available on Arturia website.

Y.

I'm sorry I could not reply earlier due to circumstances.
See screenshot: There seems not any Scene Mode.
I did scroll down & up several times, but could not find this param.
I do have 2.0.0.2 update though.
Anyway, thank you very much for the details. Much appreciated.

Hi iqnyte,

No problem.
For your issue, you need to update the MCC to the last version and the option will appear. Using an old MCC version with BSP firmware v2.0.0.2 may lead to device crash. If this occurs in the future, perform a reset factory.

Alrightie,
Yeah late here again, too many other things keeping me offline ;-)
I installed the latest MCC and lo behold I found the "scene" setting.
Configured as advised and it works like a charm.
Thank you very much for the solution!
