Would it be possible to change sequences forward externally with a device such as this?:

I play guitar/sing and have the beatstep pro as my "backing band". It's sequencing 2 mono synths and a drum machine.
I have it set up with prst link on and when I change sequences by pressing the forward button on any track, it goes to the next part of the song. Right now I have to press the forward button with my strumming hand. It would be way easier if I could do it with a midi foot pedal. How would one go about setting this up?
