If possible in the next update adding a way to transpose the notes on the Drum pads or just change each drum pad note, giving a wider range of drum samples instead of doing it on MCC.
Like pressing the pad you want and with knob 16 change the note, seeing it on the 7 seg-display and if it stopped, listen to the note change. ( pad+Knob16 )
I use a Roland D2 as a sound generator for the BSP, and the rhythm part samples (Midi Channel 10) goes from CC35 to CC98.
Since i use the BSP without the computer is would be nice to change it on the hardware.

This is a great idea.

Hi i Have asked the team for a feature of 64 drums feature which you make up in the mcc and use the DRUM +<< >> to select bank of drums. I know this kind of different but would give you more drums.
Im not sure it can be done as the BSP cpu is at full capacity already

Good one Terry. Anyway to get more kits mapped would be great.

For me this option should be great.
Since I use the BSP for different live performance setups without computer.
I still have a MAM SQ16 for this reason.
Even the workflow in the DAW would increase with this option.
A midi-note learn function would be fantastic.

My software-based solution was the equivalent of converting velocity to pitch. I map the per-step velocity to trigger software synth presets, but it's the same idea. Minimal trade-offs for my setup (fixed velocity is not a problem since I can tweak the presets individually), with a wealth of new sounds.
If having a fixed velocity can be compensated for elsewhere in your setup, from the BSP firmware side you could probably implement a toggle between velocity and pitch (assuming you can still send the Note On message at an independent, although fixed, velocity).

same problem here, using with a drumstation I cannot decide sounds for projects and setting it without a pc, why? I'm thinking to sell the beatstep pro...
