Is extremely high CPU usage still an issue?

No.
I think i have read there was CPU issues at years ago. At least 5 years ago. And i don't know if Arturias plug-ins then used more CPU ressources than others. But compared to many other plug-ins around i mostly don't find Arturias plug-ins especially CPU hungry. You can find plug-ins that use less or the same CPU ressources, but also plug-ins that use a lot more CPU ressources.
Piano V is an clear exception. Piano V i find CPU hungry, that i hope can be optimized better. But still it don't use more ressources than some other plug-ins from other vendors can use.
There are differences between Arturias plug-ins, and how you use them.

You can download and test Arturias applications for free.

Last month i buy a Macbook from www.powermax.com and i really want to say that i am happy to have Apple product.
