https://www.arturia.com/faq/utilization/how-to-select-a-master-clock-source-on-my-keystep
in this page you can read how on internal sync setting, clock is sent trough midi out port, then on external slaving mode it is not.
At manual page 61-62 it is mentioned you can switch off midi thru, and IT IS WRONG since even so the clock can alwaya pass to output. This situation leads me cannot use this keyboards coz it ends on doubling clock from input to ouput.
I think at arturia they should care more about quality of products than put efforts on releasing fancy video with people dancing to push them.
i regret my choise, i will never buy anything from arturia

There is nothing saying that the MIDI clock transmission is turned off when you work in external mode. In fact in the manual it tells us that in external mode, if no clock is sensed on the MIDI in port that the Keystep will still send MIDI clock using a 'flywheel' type function that transmits at the last tempo received on the in port.
The constant MIDI clock data is actually something nearly everyone wants. It missing from the BSP has made a lot of people find the device unusable. I suggest getting some sort of MIDI filter box that can block clock data.
