Title: real time recording - pressing play and record crashes MB

Hi all

Just brought this home this evening and I am trying out the real time recording - I have updated to latest (1.1.0.73 via MCC) and without fail every time I press record and play in sequencer mode the whole machine freezes and I have to switch off/on.

Any thoughts?

Is that if you press Record and Play simultaneously? It should definitely not freeze (there is a different issue with that, but not freezing).

It may be worth reinstalling firmware 1.1.0.73 again.

Thanks for your reply - seems I have fallen foul to using Ableton at the same time so must have a midi loop going somewhere - works as it should without ableton - need to research how to set up ableton midi preferences with the MB now

Ah, OK. There are some threads regarding Live and MIDI setup, including avoiding loops. It may be worth doing a search, or you can start with the threads below where our resident Live+MaxtrixBrute expert, BobTheDog, performs diagnosis and surgery.
