Title: Beatstep unable to controll Microbrute without midi

Hi everyone, I've just got my hands on a Beatstep and played with it on my Microbrute and the Waldorf Rocket via Midi. Everything is working fine with midi so far.
But when I try to connect to Gate In and Pitch on the mod panel nothing happens. The Brute is not recieving either pitch or tempo from the Beatstep.

My Beatstep is updated to the latest software, as is the Microbrute.

Anyone else with similar issues and sollutions to this?
