can one of you smart guys please explain, what exactly happens note-wise in the MA mode?
why do i sometimes have the impression, that the sequencer notes are played and the arp octaves are added,
then again it seem, that different pitches in the sequencer make no difference
also, when i got a sequence, and then add the arp, it seems like the sequence is reset
any light on this woul be welcome - thank you!

You can't have a sequence and an arp at the same time in a patch, it's one or the other.
Moving from ma to sequencer will copy the arp to the sequencer.
Moving from sequencer to ma should initialise the ma.

but if i do this:
i make a sequence
then add the arp
hold a chord
the arp gets "rhythmisized" by the seq
now i change notes in the seq and again hold a chord
and those note changes can be heard in the result
if i change from C maj to d min, those notes get transposed

Sounds like something is getting messed up in the top four rows of the matrix.
When you move from sequencer to matrix arp is the matrix getting initialised correctly? Top four rows empty?
-
Top (= sequencer row) gets reset notewise, but the rhythm (= held or dropped notes) are kept.
now i can hold a chord and it gets arpeggiated.
BUT: if i now change single notes in the seq, they change the arp. Also if i hold another chord, the get tranposed.
i DO like it like that but i would like to know, how exactly this mode works.
Additionally, sometimes new notes seem NOT to have an influence on the arp.
i always thought, MATRIX ARP mode IS a mix notewise of SEQ and ARP.
(btw. did i already mention, it would be great to be able to sequence the gate time like here at 0.50 min: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V16RZMQXh0Y ? )

It should work like this:
You can't have a sequence and an arp at the same time in a patch, it's one or the other.
Moving from ma to sequencer will copy the arp to the sequencer.
Moving from sequencer to ma should initialise the ma.
But from your issues and other posts here it looks like it is a little buggy if you are switching between the modes.

well, then it would be a GREAT creative bug which i would not want to miss...
