Title: Non real time sequencer hold/latch
Post by: twylla23 on April 03, 2017, 12:32:20 am
I love the new O.S. update. I would like to see the ability to hold/latch a note when recording in non real time. For the step button on the sequencer to have three presses. One to turn the note on, one to hold the last note played(dimmed down) and one to turn note off.

Maybe I misunderstand, but the tie function will hold a note over several steps, and switching steps off will turn the notes off.

Can you turn the tie function on manually? I thought you could only get a held note with the new live recording.

Yes, you can enter ties manually. Simultaneously press the first and last step you want tied. The tie will be indicated with a lower brightness for its steps. If the pitches for the steps are different you'll get a legato run, so if you want a single long note you must enter the same pitch for the steps you want to ties together.

I was very pleased that you can tie different notes for a legato run.   Great feature!
