Title: Keys trigger Hardware Buttons on Keystep
Post by: maxism on March 30, 2017, 11:17:07 am
Hi, hopefully someone can help me here. I've just taken my brand new KeyStep out of the box and there appears to be a strange issue with a few of the keys causing the buttons to activate.

F2 - Key 13 - Triggers the octave up and play
F#2 - Key 14 - Triggers Octave down
G2 - Key 15 - Triggers Shift
G#2 - Key 16 - Triggers Hold

Also Keys 9 -12 (C# - E) all trigger multiple midi notes when trying to record with ableton.

I've tried factory reset as well as updating the firmware however the same thing still happens.

Has anyone heard of an issue like this before?

Any chance this solution can be shared?  I'm running into the same problem.  Will keep searching but this came up near the top in a google search and unfortunately no public answer from support...

Here's the behavior I'm seeing:

Description of problem and troubleshooting steps (1:36): https://youtu.be/4JeR86neCwQ (https://youtu.be/4JeR86neCwQ)
Behavior in Ableton (1:29): https://youtu.be/X2sExuzanOo (https://youtu.be/X2sExuzanOo)

Arturia's responses appear to be canned emails, the second recommending I initiate an RMA.  It doesn't appear they've watched either video (based on the YouTube view count).  Anyone have any suggestions before I shell out the cost of shipping?

Thanks!
